A very special place for someone with a very special issue.

Someone over at Patterico Pontifications seems to have issues with my very presence on that site and my effort to explain how not only do federal judges suppress the Bill of Rights, but so do bloggers. Not just the so-called ‘liberals’—who are anything BUT—but also a goodly number of so-called ‘conservatives’.

JD and daleyrocks, there, take umbrage with me. At least daleyrocks TRIES to be on topic....more than JD. JD just seems to be jealous....in the extreme. To the point of dropping into the vernacular.

So as to not detract overly much from the topical thread there, I decided to invite the various denizens of that thread here, in order to exercise their various ‘demons’...one way or another....

Let the donnybrook begin.....

   Chuck – Thanks for the advice. Since the comment of yours I responded to was off topic to the subject of this post, I find your continued evasions comical.

   Most people here thank you for your military service but don’t give a crap about extensive dissertations about experience and background to establish credibility. They let the content of comments establish credibility.

   You have dismally failed by that standard. I visited your blog and saw you whining about Charlie Martin and Amy Alkon yet you would not respond to the question of how many blogs you have been banned on. You eventually agreed above that private blogs are different with respect to freedom of speech that public institutions. Congratulations! That still does not explain why you felt it necessary to bring up your eleven month old grudge with Charlie Martin in the first place in a post about a court decision about freedom of speech in a public institution.

   You are just not very good at this, in spite of your debate coaching and self-described well-reasoned and supportable arguments.

   Personally, I seriously doubt daleyrocks sincerity about military service. If people like daleyrocks were sincere, they’d not be going for the ad hom approach to ‘debate’.

   As for ‘credentials’, it’s kind of interesting how daleyrocks complains about creds and JD piles on with more ad homs of an even more personal nature.

   The two characters are markedly different. The former complains about adjunct comments, while the latter just resents someone who has a better life than he has himself.

   As for Charlie (Colorado) Martin, he’s disappointing in that he apparently can’t stand the idea that people who have actually dealt with him in some organization might not have good things to say about him. Not my problem. Indeed, I was surprised to discover that the distaff knew him, albeit, I had never had the pleasure of even meeting him in the flesh.

   But when I mentioned that at PJM, suddenly I was no longer allowed to post there.

   If daleyrocks doesn’t appreciate that interesting juxtaposition of events, I get the distinct impression that he is a member of Charlie’s ‘tribe’. Which would explain why he takes such umbrage at my mentioning of the poor sod.

   All the M’s I’ve known are relatively well-adjusted, compared to those who say thinks like carlitos. The latter strike me as being of the ‘sour grapes’ persuasion, i.e., they probably wouldn’t qualify in the first place and therefore resent any mention of the group. It would be interesting to see carlitos take the ‘test’ and find out the results.

   In the meantime, he beats himself up trying to beat M’s up. An effort in futility if ever there was one.
