Preparing for Economic ‘Collapse’???!?!
I can think of greater disasters.
There was a discussion up at Dr. Helen’s Web Site.
I got into a discussion with one of the participants there. But for some ‘strange reason’, my comments were being selectively disallowed. I have no idea of what the criteria being used for allowance was, but when I addressed the meat of the issue, my comments would not appear. When I addressed otherwise ‘innocuous’ matters, they would. This was on a web-site offered up by ‘Blogger’.
Well....to make a long story short....I’m offering my reply to br549 HERE.....

Yeah. I have trouble remembering Turkey as they are, for the most part, not overtly involved with the rest of the ME. They focus more on the Russians. Not to forget the Kurds.

EMP testing has been going on for a long time. There are safeguards and back ups in place. Of that you can be sure.—br549

....my last 14 years of service involved helping State Area Commands (STARCs) prepare for this sort of stuff.
Guess what....
....we ain’t ready for it yet.
Yeah. LOTS of ‘testing’ is “going on”. But d----d little preparation is being accomplished. Better prepare yourself by reading One Second After.

As for US....
....what do you make of that business about how the ‘church’ is flown away to a “wilderness” on the wings of an “eagle”?
What as the US like when John wrote those words? What is the symbol of the US?

Hi Chuck. Don’t know what is up with blogger. It has weird problems from time to time. They made changes a while back, and blogger icons ended up next to everyone’s handle. Today they are gone, and blogger’s speed is akin to molasses, uphill, and January. The entire net has been slow (for me) for about 3 weeks now, and I have broadband. Adaware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster and Norton don’t find anything so I don’t think it’s my computer. However, who knows? Blogger is Google, who is constantly gathering information many don’t believe is any of Google’s business. I am not happy about that.
In days gone by, I kept my face buried in the Bible. From what I’ve pulled out of there personally is why I believe Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ. One can be saved, regardless of what he has done, provided it is a real transformation.
You touched on something (the eagle) that I am unaware of. Could you elaborate a little? My definition of the church and yours, may be different.

RE: Problems with ‘Blogger’From my personal experience, the issue seems to be ‘political’ in nature. If I use verbiage relating to the topic at hand, the missives do not get ‘published’. On the other hand, if the communications do not contain words germane to the topic-at-hand, the missives get published.
Pardon my ‘paranoia’, but I’ve seen this sort of behavior before.....

It is ‘written’....

The ‘woman’, as far as I can understand her, is the ‘church’.
Check out what is written before and after that passage.
And I comment, my understanding is to suggest that where it is written that an ‘eagle’ flies her to a ‘wilderness’, it could be that John was writing about how US could protect the church, vis-a-vis, our christian heritage.
Just an observation.....
Maybe only wishful thinking....
